Exposion! August 14th, 2010 6pm at the Cornerstone Art Center, is our annual community art project where students with disabilities focus on identifying who they are as artists, people and someone with a disAbility through creating and displaying wearable art. During the creative process, students are paired up with volunteers from the community who help with the exploration and creation of art work.
This year, art work from the artists: K8e Orr, Josh Kruger, Kelley Murdock, Kathy Dowdell, Ashley Whitead, Aiden Giuffre, Mariah Sparrow, Tiffany Schlender and many others will be featured in the performance art/wearable art show.
2010 will feature special dance performances by Our Community Dance Company, a special piece choreographed by Camille Loftin, featuring our students and professional dancers from the community as they explore the physical transcendence of disability, dance performances choreographed by Anita Batteiger, a silent auction, beer and wine for a suggested donation, live jazz by the Double McGuffin Jazz Trio and more. Join us in the creative Cornerstone Art Center for a compelling visual and emotional experience.
